Integers on the number line

The figure at the right is a number line.

An integer is a number that is a whole number of units from zero on
the number line.

Integers to the left of
zero are less than zero.
They are negative.

Zero is neither negative nor positive.

Integers to the right of
zero are greater than zero.
They are positive.

The number that corresponds to a point on the number line is called the coordinate of the point.

The coordinate of A is -2
